Your visit

Your visit, start to finish.

A first visit to Dr Smile Dental Care is a conversation about your concern, a careful check-up — with an X-ray only if it's needed — and a plain explanation of your options with a clear estimate, before any treatment begins. The consultation is ₹300 onwards. The clinic is open Mon–Sat, 10 AM–2 PM & 4–8 PM · Sun by appointment; walk-ins are welcome, and appointments mean less waiting.

Step by step

What happens at a first visit.

Nothing happens in the chair without you understanding it first.

  1. 1

    Book, or simply walk in

Request an appointment on this website, call or WhatsApp +91 99309 08548, or pick a slot online. Walk-ins are welcome during clinic hours; with an appointment you're seen without a wait.

  2. 2

    Arrive and settle in

Give yourself a few minutes. You'll be asked about your general health, any medicines you take and any allergies — these affect which treatments and medicines are safe for you.

  3. 3

    We listen first

Tell the dentist what's bothering you, in English, Hindi or Marathi: where it hurts, since when, what makes it worse. If nothing hurts and it's a routine check-up, say so — that's a good reason to come too.

  4. 4

    A careful examination

Your teeth, gums and bite are checked. If something needs a closer look, a digital X-ray is taken at the clinic and shown to you on screen. X-rays are only taken when they're needed.

  5. 5

    Your options, in plain words

You hear what's wrong, what can be done and what each option involves — including what happens if you wait. You get a clear estimate before any treatment begins. Consultation ₹300 onwards.

  6. 6

    Treatment, at your pace

Simple treatment can often be done at the same visit; larger work is planned over a few sittings. Local anaesthesia is used where a procedure needs it, and you can ask to pause at any time.

  7. 7

    Aftercare that follows through

You leave with clear instructions for home, and the clinic follows up to check how you're healing. Any concern afterwards — just message on WhatsApp.

Before you come

What to bring.

  • Your medicines

A list of the medicines you take — or the strips or prescriptions themselves. Blood thinners and diabetes medicines are especially important to mention.

  • Health conditions

Diabetes, blood pressure, heart conditions, allergies, and whether you are or might be pregnant. These change what's safe.

  • Old dental records

Any recent dental X-rays, reports or treatment notes from another dentist. They help avoid repeating X-rays.

  • Your questions

Write down what you want to ask. It's easy to forget once you're in the chair — and every question is a fair one.

  • Payment

Cash, UPI and Net banking are accepted. There are no insurance tie-ups at present.

  • For children

A parent or guardian, and your child's favourite toy if it helps. Mention any health conditions or medicines.

Bringing children

Little patients, lots of patience.

Kids' dentistry is one of the clinic's main services. Children should have their first dental visit by their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing — early, gentle visits help them feel at ease and catch problems while they're small.

  • Parents are welcome to stay in the room. It often helps younger children feel safe.
  • Children are never rushed into the chair; each step is shown and explained in words they understand.
  • Keep it positive at home — avoid words like "hurt" or "injection". A morning appointment, when children are fresh, often helps.
  • X-rays only when they're actually needed.
  • Milk teeth matter: they hold space for adult teeth and help children chew and speak, so decay in them is worth treating.

Feeling nervous?

You set the pace.

Many adults feel anxious about the dentist — often because of one bad experience years ago. Tell the clinic when you book, or as soon as you sit down. It changes how the visit is run.

  • Talk first, treat later. A first visit can be just a conversation and a check-up. Nothing is started on the day unless you want it to be.
  • Pause whenever you need. Agree a simple signal, like raising a hand, and treatment stops while you take a moment.
  • Know each step before it happens. Dr. Pooja explains what she's about to do, so there are no surprises.
  • Numbing where it's needed. Procedures that would otherwise be uncomfortable are done under local anaesthesia. Most people feel pressure rather than pain.

Patients often describe their visit as comfortable — you can read their reviews in their own words.

Tooth pain & emergencies

Tooth pain? Come in today.

Same-day tooth pain and dental emergencies are seen at the clinic during clinic hours. Call or WhatsApp +91 99309 08548 before you leave home so you can be fitted in as soon as possible.

  • Toothache, a swollen gum, a broken or chipped tooth, or a crown or filling that has come off — call or WhatsApp the clinic.
  • Until you're seen, avoid chewing on the painful side and keep the area clean.
  • On Sunday, patients are seen by prior appointment only. For tooth pain on a Sunday, call or WhatsApp to ask for an appointment.
  • Go to the nearest hospital emergency department or call 112 if you have severe facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a facial injury.

After your treatment

Aftercare that follows through.

In Dr. Pooja Jain's own words: “I am soft, humble & precise. And I take good after care.” Aftercare isn't an afterthought at the clinic — it's half the promise.

  • Clear instructions on eating, brushing and care at home after each treatment.
  • A follow-up message or call to check how you're settling after treatments like a root canal.
  • Planned next visits for treatments done in stages — for example, a crown after a root canal.
  • Easy contact on WhatsApp if anything feels wrong afterwards.
  • A routine check-up and cleaning about every six months, so small problems are caught early.

Each treatment page has its own aftercare notes — for example root canal treatment and crowns & bridges.
